Structure before style
Pretty is easy once the bones are right. Backwards, it's a rebuild. Content plan first, always — even when everyone would rather look at colors.
Home About
Hi, I'm Becky
I design the site and I do the search work. Which means nothing gets lost in the handoff, because there isn't one.
The short version
I run an apparel brand called Becky Wexlin. Beautiful site. Nobody could find it.
So I learned why. Then I learned how to fix it — crawl budgets, structured data, Core Web Vitals, the whole unglamorous stack. Traffic followed. And somewhere in there I realized the part I actually loved wasn't selling shirts. It was the puzzle of making something findable.
Then the ground moved again. People stopped typing queries and started asking assistants. A well-optimized page could rank first and still lose the customer to a paragraph generated above it. So I learned that too — how AI systems read a page, what makes them cite one source over another, and how to build for both worlds at once.
That's what this studio is. Not an agency with a discovery deck. One person who has been on your side of it, building sites that are genuinely nice to look at and genuinely findable — which turn out to be the same project, if you do them together.
Four things I won't budge on, mostly learned by getting them wrong first.
Pretty is easy once the bones are right. Backwards, it's a rebuild. Content plan first, always — even when everyone would rather look at colors.
If I can't explain what I'm doing and why it matters in a sentence you'd repeat to a friend, it's probably not worth doing. Reports you can read, not decks you can't.
Your code, your domain, your accounts, your data. Nothing proprietary, nothing locked, no exit fee. If we stop working together, you lose nothing but me.
If your site is fine and you need a better offer instead, I'll say so. I'd rather lose a project than take money for work that won't change anything.
Contact
A few sentences is plenty. I read every one of these myself and reply within two business days — usually with a question or two before anything else.
What happens next: a reply from me → a free 30-minute call → a written scope and fixed price. No obligation at any step.
